The hiring spree by U.S. airlines appears to be cooling off after the addition of 194,000 employees in a post-Covid surge. As airlines adjusted their operations to accommodate the resurgence in travel following pandemic-related restrictions, there was a significant increase in workforce demand. However, as the initial rush stabilises, hiring rates are likely now slowing down. While hiring may continue, it’s expected to be at a slower pace than seen in the immediate aftermath of Covid-19 setbacks.
