Vivek Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur and hedge fund manager, recently revealed his “ideal” pick for Vice President on Fox News. According to Ramaswamy, the ideal pick should have two traits: “Someone who is both experienced, and who is diverse in terms of their identity, background, opinion, and perspective.”
Ramaswamy believes that a Vice President who is both experienced and diverse would be best equipped to bridge the gap between all of Biden’s different constituencies. A VP with such qualities would also be able to grapple with an array of issues, not just those limited to a certain region or demographic.
When asked who he would personally select for the job of vice president, Ramaswamy stressed that there were a number of qualified candidates, but couldn’t make a definitive pick. He did mention, however, that “you want somebody who knows policy, who knows the issues and who has the relationships in Washington to be able to actually move things in the Biden administration. That’s the mold you want.”
