The food delivery service partner of MrBeast, a popular YouTube entertainer, has denied claims made by its drivers in a new legal filing.
The document, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, includes a statement from the delivery partner of MrBeast averring that “the allegations in the Complaint are baseless and/or immaterial to [the partner] or to the claims of the Putative Class.”
The drivers, who are enrolled in the service, have alleged that MrBeast’s partner keeps a disproportionately high percentage of the payment made for their services, and has not met their minimum wage and other labor demands.
In the filing, the content creator’s delivery partner alleged that the drivers’ claims are not based on valid principles of labor and wage law.
Meanwhile, MrBeast has yet to comment publicly on the claims and the legal filing. It is unclear whether the YouTube star himself had any direct knowledge or involvement in the partnership with the delivery service.
