The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has released a new ad that uses an artificial intelligence-generated voice to slam Democrats for turning national parks into migrant tent cities. The ad, titled “Crisis on the Border,” highlights how some Democrats have pushed for allowing undocumented immigrants to establish tent cities inside of national parks.
The ad warns that the proposal would damage the environment, erode infrastructure, and put law-abiding citizens at risk. In addition, it claims that allowing tent cities in national parks could damage the wildlife, destroy park roads, and overwhelm park services.
These are serious concerns and the NRCC is right to call out Democrats for their lack of consideration for the impact this proposal could have on our national parks. It’s important to debate the merits of immigration reform proposed by either side of the aisle, and doing so with an AI-generated ad helps to bring attention to this issue. It’s also important to point out that while Democrats may be pushing for tent cities in national parks, crucially they are also advocating for other solutions as well.
