A group of California residents who have filed a lawsuit against Gov. Gavin Newsom over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic will be in attendance at a press conference with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday.
The group, known as “Families Fighting for Floridians,” is calling for Newsom to be recalled, citing his “coronavirus policies of lockdowns, business closures, mask mandates, and other restrictions on the rights of individuals.” The group consists of California “refugees” offering their support to Governor DeSantis in his ongoing battle with the Biden Administration over states’ rights.
At the press conference, the group will speak out in support of a plan put forward by DeSantis to combat the Biden Administration’s power grabs. They will also attend a debate on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show later on Friday with California’s Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis, where they will discuss their displeasure with Gov. Newsom’s handling of the pandemic.
